BlackBerry Selling in Indonesia Went Down, Market Share Gone

Another bad news from BlackBerry, the Canadian smartphone manufacturer. Indonesian users, one of their biggest contributor for their business, is going away.

Starting their business in 2008, BlackBerry sold 8.300 units of their handsets in Indonesia. Peaked at 2011, they managed to sold 2,5 million BlackBerry smartphone in the country.

Too bad. After that year, their business is going down and then quite rapidly.

As we can see from IDC's latest data, for the first half of 2014, they only managed to sell 305.585 units. Their market share is also going down. After managed to acquired 43% of the smartphone market in Indonesia, now they have lost the 40%.

To bad. I must admit, I like the keyboard of BlackBerry handset.
