Why Android Consumed More Memory Than iOS?

Maybe we are annoyed, why 1 or 2GB of RAM on our Android smartphone or tablets sometime is not enough. On the other side, Apple's iOS devices can run smoothly even with only 1GB of RAM.

It turned out that because Android uses Java. According to Quora, in Java applications, there is a process called garbage collection that recycles the memory after no longer being used by applications.

The problem is, garbage collection also needs time and space to make other process can run smooth. If there is not enough memory left for temporary storage, the process will run slower. This method is not exists on Apple's iOS devices. Damn!
