Kill Switch, Theft Solution for Smartphones?

Microsoft and Google are setting up a kill-switch feature on the mobile operating system that they created. The goal, the killer switch can prevent smartphone thieves to take over the existing data on the device.

For information, in the United States alone, theft of mobile devices reached 3.1 million cases in the last year. This figure more than doubled compared to the year 2012.

If implemented, this feature will be able to turn off the smartphone remotely thus making the device will no longer can be turned on and may not work forever.

Hmm.. new business opportunities is on the horizon, to revive dead smartphones from kill-switch.
