The Biggest Tablet PC Manufacturer
According to the latest Quarterly Tablet Tracker, released by IDC research firm, Apple still holds the biggest market share in the world for tablet PC business and followed by Samsung. But, IDC said, the fierce competition provided by other manufacturers will make their market share to be decreased.
Up to the 2nd quarter of 2014, Apple's iPad still have around 26,9% of market and Samsung have 17,2%. Compared to the same period of last year, both of the companies have 33% and 18,8% respectively and IDC said that the trend is going down.
The biggest threat comes from Lenovo with 4,9% market share and sold 2,4 million units of Tablet PC. The Chinese manufacturers are followed by 2 Taiwanese firm, ASUS (4,5% market share) and Acer (2% market share).
If only Lenovo is going to build the next gen Nexus tablet, it will be interesting, right?
