Windows 8.1, Saviour of the PC Industry?

The global research firm, Gartner, said that the latest Microsoft's OS, the Windows 8.1 will be the turning point of the PC business, worldwide.

According to Gartner, the rise of PC industry will be pushed by PC upgrade and OS replacement. About 317 million units of PCs will be shipped to the market, worldwide.

Since Microsoft already phased out Windows XP, users around the world will be forced to install Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 if they choose to go with Microsoft and for that reason, they need to use a new PC.

Well, not for me. I'm keeping my 2007 mainstream DIY PC.
