Nokia-Microsoft to Release Cheap Phone
Rather than competing with Apple or Samsung, Microsoft chooses to focus on lower segment. According to Microsoft, currently there are at least 1 billion people in the world who don't have cellphone. And at the same time, the need of communication device is growing.
Dubbed as Nokia 130, the phone will have USD 25 price tag or about IDR 275.000. Targeted to new cellphone user, the phone itself doesn't have too sophisticated features inside. Only basic voice call, text, music player and flash light.
The phone is prepared for Q3 2014 shipment. The targets are users in India, China, and Nigeria.
