Xiaomi Redmi Note vs Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo
Xiaomi has just released one of their smartphone to Indonesia, the Redmi Note. Even though this is not really a new product, but for Indonesian users, the device looked quite interesting. How good is this product if we compare to one of the model that owned by the most favorite smartphone brand in Indonesia? Here is the comparison between Xiaomi Redmi Note vs Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo:
Network Support: Grand Neo
Redmi Note supports GSM 900/1800/1900 while Grand Neo have additional network supports GSM 850 while. It's not that significant though, but at this point, Grand Neo is a bit better.
Dimension/Weight: Grand Neo
Grand Neo sized slightly smaller and lighter weight. It is easier to hold in your palm and keep in your pocket.
Display Size: Redmi Note
Redmi Note's 5.5" LCD size is more comfortable for your eyes than Grand Neo's 5,01". Right now, for smartphone, the bigger the LCD size is, the better.
Display Resolution: Redmi Note
With HD resolution it provide, Redmi Note is much better than FWVGA resolution that Grand Neo. It provide higher density so the image will looked sharper and crisp. The usage of IPS panel on Redmi Note makes them complete.
External Memory Support: Grand Neo
Grand Neo supports up to 64GB of microSD, Redmi Note only up to 32GB
Front Camera: Redmi Note
Redmi Note has more superior camera with 13MP, touch focus, smile detection and HDR feature. It also can record full HD video at 30fps. Grand Neo's camera resolution only 5MP. The secondary camera also only VGA while Redmi Note provides 5MP of front camera. Wow!
CPU: Redmi Note
The usage of octa-core Cortex A7 processor inside Redmi Note at the speed of 1,4GHz is far beyond the quad-core Cortex A7 1,2GHz of Grand Neo.
GPU: Redmi Note
Grand Neo uses VideoCore-IV GPU that is 2 and a half years older than ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU used by Redmi Note. From the performance perspective, on 3DMark 2013 Ice Storm Standard Graphics 1280x720, Redmi Note reached 5.539 while Grand New only scored 3.506. Quite significant.
Battery: Redmi Note
For battery, Redmi Note provides 3200mAh battery Lithium-Polymer while Grand Neo still uses Lithium-ion and with the smaller capacity, 2100mAh.
Price: Redmi Note
In Indonesia, Redmi Note sold at IDR 1,999 million while Grand Neo sold between IDR 2,4 to 2,7 million.
After Sales Service: Grand Neo
Samsung have so many Service Centers in all over Indonesia, and their service quality is quite excellent. Currently, we can't find any Redmi owned service center yet.
Aside from quality and services, Redmi Note is far the better options compared to Galaxy Grand Neo. Redmi Note is definitly worth to buy.
