1H 2014, Huawei Sold 34 Million Smartphone

In the first half of 2014, Huawei managed to increase their selling quantity by 62% compared to the same period, last year. The Chinese based company have shipped 34,24 million smartphones worldwide. The quantity itself is around 43% from their annual target, which is 80 million smartphones for this year.

From the 80 million smartphones their targeting, abour 20% of them are mid-high end products.

Huawei's global market share in this period reached 4,7%, far behind Samsung (30,8%) and Apple (15,2%). Their closest competitor are 2 other Chinese manufacturers, Lenovo and ZTE Corp. 5 other companies that are chasing Huawei are Taiwanese companies, which are Chi Mei, HTC, Compal Electronics, Arima, and ASUS.
